Since its inception, as Novità and later transformation into Vogue Italia in 1966 the magazine  has always been a part and parcel in the realm of fashion journalism. Over the years it hasn't  merely documented the evolution of fashion, but it has also influenced it by setting trends and  making a creative miracle. The rich legacy of the publication is a testament to its enduring  significance and progressive outlook.

The key figures who shaped its trajectory are deeply connected with the heritage of Vogue Italia  magazine's legacy. The magazine’s first editor Franco Sartori laid the foundation for its success. However, it was Franca Sozzani’s leadership that steered Vogue Italia towards becoming an  “icon” in creativity. During Sozzanis tenure, she introduced groundbreaking themes such as  the 2008 issue showcasing exclusively models. This move championed diversity, and sparked conversations about inclusion, in the fashion world.
